A man identified as Mayegun Olaoye has claimed to be the biological father of the daughter of gospel singer Tope Alabi.

Olaoye who reached out to GistLovers Blog said that Tope Alabi changed his daughter’s surname to Alabi which is the surname of the man the singer is now married to.

He also expressed displeasure at how Tope Alabi denies him access to the child whom he christened at his house in 1998.

A look at Olaoye’s Instagram page shows that he celebrated Ayomiku when she clocked 20 in 2018.

He captioned a picture of her with the below quote.

Tomorrow 7th of May 1998 wl be exactly 20years,that u were delivered at the CAC maternity home at PWD Oshodi,I was full of Joy because u were my first fruit in life, I named u MARY AYOMIKU OYEGOKE AT MY HOUSE IN SHOMOLU on d 14th of May 1998, Ayomikun I’m ur biological father which nobody can claim to be, happy birthday to u my first Born,I Iove u and I wl forever Love u,may u be successful in life llnp my darling daughter.”

In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, Ayomiku who is also a gospel singer revealed how much of a blessing it is to be Tope Alabi’s daughter.

She said, “When you have a mother like mine, people would expect you to do just like her or maybe a lot more but in the end, God decides how he wants to use us individually. I think that my mother’s identity will make me easily recognised as a gospel artiste. But in the end, people would differentiate us not for bad; but for good.

“People expect me to dress or act a certain way but I am not pressured by anything or anyone. I didn’t develop interest in music because of my mum. I just really love singing and I’m also called by God to do this. Left to me, I would have loved to be an actress or a movie producer.

“It is a blessing and opportunity to be the daughter of such a wonderful musician but at the same time, it feels normal.”
