Manchester City has completed the signing of Omar Marmoush, a 25-year-old Egyptian striker, from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Marmoush has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2029.

The club announced the transfer on Thursday morning, describing Marmoush as one of Europe’s most promising forwards. Known for his versatility, the Egyptian international can play across the attacking line.

Speaking about his move, Marmoush said, “To sign for Manchester City – one of the best teams in the world – is an amazing feeling. I’m excited to work under Pep Guardiola and contribute to the success of this great club.”

Marmoush began his football journey in Egypt with Wadi Degla before moving to Germany in 2017. He played for Wolfsburg and later joined Frankfurt in 2023.

In the 2023/24 season, Marmoush scored 17 goals in 41 appearances for Frankfurt. This season, he has already registered 20 goals and 14 assists in 26 games before his move to Manchester City.

Manchester City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, expressed confidence in Marmoush’s abilities. “Omar is an accomplished and exciting forward. His technical ability, pace, and versatility will add a new dimension to our attack. I have no doubt that working with Pep Guardiola will help him further develop his superb attacking talent.”

Marmoush, who has been capped 35 times for Egypt, is expected to strengthen Manchester City’s forward line as they compete on multiple fronts this season. Fans are eager to see how the new signing will contribute to the team’s success.
