MAN CHALLENGES POLICE! I’m coming back to Nigeria, meet me at the airport if you dare

Published

A Nigerian man living in Australia has challenged the Nigerian Police to meet him if they dare.

The man, Joshua Onokhua Okojie, who likes throwing shades at members of the Force, had in a short post accused police officers of bribery and corruption.

He said he is on his way back to the country for the Easter holidays and policemen that feel brave enough to tackle him should dare it at the airport.

He, however, did not state the time of arrival in Lagos.

He wrote on Facebook,

The effects of collecting bribe tells negatively on your children children! Karma is a birtch!
My mum only gave birth to five of us, and the five of us no doubt is doing well in our various professions. The five of us have all agreed to be in Nigeria to observe the Easter holidays with mum and dad. Those of you who are bribe collectors, saying you will get hold of me if I mistakenly come to Nigeria, this is a passing announcement for you guys. If you guys know you got the liver, just dare to come and wait for me at the airport, and see if your own fellow police officers won’t even be the one to pull off your uniform, shoe, and cap!

In a previous post on his Facebook Timeline, he wrote

Armed mobile policemen would ask motorists to stop on the highway and some motorists would refuse to stop even when they have guns pointed at their vehicles while some would just squeeze and drop money that the armed mobile policemen would gladly rush to pick.

How then do you tackle crime?

What if those that refused to stop were armed robbers or kidnappers with a victim in the vehicle?

Corruption, in the final analysis, rubbishes both the giver and the receiver.

Can you imagine the same motorists doing the same thing to soldiers with guns asking them to stop on the highway?

I asked more than 3 different mobile policemen at 3 different locations between Ogun and Delta states 2 weeks why they would stop motorists and they would refuse to stop even when they are armed.

They all claimed that ‘Nigerians are difficult people’ and when I reminded them that they would not try such with soldiers they simply asked me to provide the vehicle particulars hehehe.

Without tackling corruption the police cannot effectively tackle crime.

Without tackling the poor salaries the police and other security agents get we cannot tackle corruption.

There is a link between hunger, poverty and corruption and until we do something about the salary we are only wasting time when we talk about tackling crime in Nigeria!
