A 40-year old man has been arrested for allegedly hacking into the Facebook account of the Lagos Chairman of NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, to defraud innocent people over Covid-19 palliative allowance in Lagos.
The suspect identified as Oluwaseyi Ogunwale, was tracked by the Police operatives from the Monitoring Unit, Ikeja, Lagos and charged before the Court for fraud and was remanded in Correctional Centre over the scam, P.M Express reports.
According to Police sources, Ogunwale hacked into MC Oluomo’s Facebook account requesting innocent people to forward their account numbers for Covid-19 palliative allowance, which was false, rather a ploy to defraud the victims.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.O. Fajana, granted Ogunwale bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned.
