Macron condemns Israel’s strikes on Gaza hospital
France’s president, Emmanuel Macron, has condemned the attack on a hospital facility in Gaza on Tuesday.
According to Macron “nothing can justify attacking a hospital” or “targeting civilians” and called for humanitarian access to the coastal strip “without delay”.
The death toll from the strike on the hospital in Gaza has risen to more than 500, according to some reports. The initial reports from Gaza had estimated the number of deaths at over 300.
“Nothing can justify a strike against a hospital. Nothing can justify targeting civilians. France condemns the attack on the Al-Ahli Arabi hospital in Gaza which caused so many Palestinian victims. We think of them.”
“Humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip must be opened without delay.”
