The Kaduna State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria is calling for a thorough investigation into the alleged extra-judicial killing of its members.

This appeal follows the discovery of 11 decomposing bodies in a forest, reportedly belonging to Fulani natives from Tulde Fulbe in the Ladduga Grazing Reserve of Kachia Local Government Area.

While an online report implicated the Nigerian Army in the killings, the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, through Lt. Col Musa Yahaya, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, issued a statement vehemently denying any involvement in the alleged incident.

Despite the denial, MACBAN Kaduna’s chairman, Haruna Usman Tugga, expressed serious concern over the situation.

In a statement, he condemned what they described as the “extra-judicial killing of law-abiding Fulbe youths of Tilde Fulbe community and other areas of Ladduga Grazing Reserve in Kachia Local Government Area of the state by military personnel at Kachia, headquarters of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.”

Tugga revealed that an emergency executive meeting of the association has been called to delve into the matter, seeking to uncover the root causes, identify the perpetrators, and ascertain the names of the victims.
