Barcelona striker Luis Suarez on Tuesday visited his former teammate at Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho ahead of his team’s Champions League clash with Manchester City.
Suarez is in England for the Champions League clash at the Etihad tonight.
The Uruguayan international cut short his preparations for the showdown to reunite with Coutinho, having formed a strong friendship during their time at Liverpool.
Coutinho uploaded a picture of the pair along with his daughter Maria on his Instagram page, captioning it, “Great to see you my friend!”.
Reports say the duo were good friends at Anfield before Suarez joined Barcelona at the Nou Camp in Spain.
Suarez has scored seven times in 10 games this season ahead of the clash with City.
Lionel Messi grabbed the headlines in the first match between the two sides but Suarez has a decent record against Pep Guardiola’s men, scoring twice in Barca’s 2-1 victory at the Etihad back in 2015.
