LP urges Jonathan, Atiku to support Obi’s vision for national redirection

The Labour Party has called on former President Goodluck Jonathan and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to align with the vision of national redirection represented by Mr. Peter Obi.

The party’s Interim National Publicity Secretary, Tony Akeni, made this appeal during an interview on Arise Television on Friday, stressing the need for Nigeria’s political leadership to reflect the aspirations of the younger generation.

“We have a third leg in our appeal; we are also appealing to former President Jonathan to consider what the majority of Nigerians have yielded their hearts to pursue,” he stated.

“That is the presidency led by a younger person from the younger generation, who clicks with the majority of Nigerians by his record of integrity, character, and consistency.

“Most Nigerians have embraced a presidency led by a younger person who resonates with most Nigerians.

“What’s more urgent for us is for Atiku Abubakar and Goodluck Jonathan to accept that it’s time for a redirection,” he said.
