The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has addressed the online ridicule surrounding a viral testimony from one of its members.

The church has firmly denied claims that it fabricates testimonies, urging the public not to believe misleading content spread by bloggers.

The Head of Public Relations and Media for the church, Pastor Chidi Louis, responded to the controversy, clarifying that a video circulating online was not an accurate representation of the testimony given by a church member.

In the viral video, the woman allegedly claimed to have disarmed four armed robbers and taken possession of an “AK-27.” However, Louis explained that this was a misunderstanding.

He urged the public to watch the full version of the testimony on the church’s TikTok handle, which clarified that the woman’s story was a dream, not an actual event.

“Nigerians should disregard the fake video and visit our church platform to listen to the complete testimony for better understanding. The woman’s story occurred in a dream, not in reality,” Louis stated.

“They just cut one part and made it look real. The woman was explaining her dream,” he said, adding, “The viral video is a fake one. It was doctored.”

The church also addressed other testimonies that had gone viral and attracted skepticism from the public.

In one instance, a member claimed to have been rescued by a lion, while in another, a male member also shared a testimony of surviving kidnapping and machete attacks without injury.

In response to these claims, the Lord’s Chosen Church called on Nigerians not to believe everything they saw online.

“Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Most of these bloggers are very wicked and devilish, they edited this testimony in a bid to ridicule the work of God, Most of these bloggers are wicked and devilish.” Louis concluded.
