Liverpool have defeated Burnley 3-0 to move into the top-four for the first time since February 14th to boost their Champions League qualification hopes.

The three-horse race between Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester City will go down to the wire with one more game to wrap up the 2020/21 Premier League season.

Goals from Roberto Firmino (43′), Nathaniel Phillips (52′) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (88′) drew the Reds levelled on 66points with Leicester as they move from fifth into fourth on goal difference.

Jurgen Klopp’s men capitalised on a slip by Brendan Rodgers’ side who lost 2-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

With Manchester City confirmed as the Premier League champions and rivals, Manchester United, as runners-up, Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester fight for the last two available Champions League spots.

While the Reds host Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Leicester go away to Aston Villa and Tottenham respectively this weekend.

A loss for any of the teams could see them miss out on next season’s Champions League competition.
