A former presidential aide and activist, Remo Omokri has said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has failed his first major test as a leader.
Omokri’s comment comes after the Lekki Toll Gate shooting of protesters by security forces wearing military uniforms on Tuesday night.
Sanwo-Olu has publicly denied that any protester died as a result of the attack as opposed to reports from people at the scene of the incident.
Reacting on his official Twitter account, Omokri said that he has lost respect for the governor.
An office is just a platform. It does not make you a leader. It only gives you a platform to show whether you are a leader or not. I use to respect @JideSanwaolu. All that respect is gone. Sanwaolu is just a liar, and a coward, who failed his first major leadership test #EndSARS

The largely peaceful protests have spiralled into a state of violence across Lagos after thugs hiding under the #EndSARS protest umbrella.
The protesters have for the past two weeks called on the government to end police brutality and killings by security operatives across the country.
