Lekki shooting: Truth will be revealed when Buhari leaves office – Fani-Kayode
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that what happened at the Lekki toll gate will only be revealed when the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), leaves office.
Recall that soldiers of the Nigerian Army are alleged to have shot at EndSARS protester who had gathered at the toll gate in protest against bad governance.
It is claimed that the incident led to the death of many of the protesters, a claim that is yet to be proven.
The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who visited the scene discovered a camera which he said will help with ongoing investigations.
He was faulted by Fani-Kayode who said that if the camera was not planted by the government, whatever content it captured will be doctored.
He tweeted:
“Why would a Minister remove a camera from the crime scene of the biggest mass murder in our history? If the camera was planted by Govt. they will show us what they want us to see. If the camera was not planted &provides evidence of genocide it will be doctored or destroyed.
“The deep state is at work here but we cannot be fooled. It is only after PMB leaves office that the truth about what happened at the Lekki Toll gate will be exposed. After that he &all those that were involved will be bundled to the ICC at the Hague for crimes against humanity.”
Why would a Minister remove a camera from the crime scene of the biggest mass murder in our history? If the camera was planted by Govt. they will show us what they want us to see. If the camera was not planted &provides evidence of genocide it will be doctored or destroyed &..1/2
