Lekki shooting: Supposed victims cry against fake news
Information gathered from social media sources apparently buttresses a claim by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State that no fatality was recorded in the Lekki toll gate shooting.
Sanwo-Olu who spoke yesterday said that he and members of his administration visited different hospitals and morgues before drawing the conclusion.
His words were met with several backlash from social media users who shared pictures of those whom they claimed died during the shooting.
However, their claims have now been busted by some of those people in the pictures who cried out that they are alive.
Another picture which was shared has also been found to be from a drama scene.
One which appeared convincing showed three dead bodies of people who were earlier pictured at the Lekki toll gate protest wearing.
It was later revealed that they died in an accident while on their way from the protests ground a day before the shooting.
