The family of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his first daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi, at the age of 44.

Reports indicate that Bisola passed away in the United Kingdom after a brief illness. News of her death, which emerged on Thursday, March 27, 2025, has left family, friends, and associates in shock.

A prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist, Bisola made a name for herself in Nigeria’s luxury retail sector. She was the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a well-known retail and wholesale chain, and the founder of Florence H. Luxury, a high-end fashion boutique.

Her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, a banker and politician from Ibadan, expressed his grief in an emotional tribute.

“The world has lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children,” he said.

Beyond her contributions to business, Bisola also had a role in public service, serving as a special adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu. Colleagues described her as a hardworking professional and a source of inspiration.

“She was always willing to help, always pushing for excellence. Her loss is a huge blow,” a close associate remarked.

Bisola is survived by her husband and their three children. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in the coming days.
