Popular Nigerian actor and singer, Adams Kehinde, known as Lege Miami, organized a well-attended “Singles Hookup Matchmaking End-of-the-Year Party” on Sunday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos State.

The free-entry event attracted a massive crowd of singles eager to connect before the year ended.

The event quickly trended on social media, with attendees and followers sharing their excitement and frustrations over the turnout.

#Abdullahayofel posted on X.com, saying, “Lege Miami Single Matchmaking End of the Year Party 2024. See how the ladies are plenty.”

Another user, #KingDiamondplus, expressed disappointment, stating, “Lege Miami show was so hilarious than painful yesterday. After preparing for days and not still yet unable to enter the premise because of crowd.”

#The_Lateefah commented, “Lege Miami doesn’t joke with this his matchmaking business. Man even threw an event. The turnup of people at the event wasn’t small too.”

Lege Miami expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support in posts shared on Instagram on Monday. “See crowd. 2024 singles hookup matchmaking end-of-the-year party. Thank you, lovers,” he wrote.

In another video, he said, “Thank you, Nigerians, I’m grateful. I want to thank all the people that supported me for this last event. I thank all the givers that brought out money to support me.”

Acknowledging the high turnout, Lege Miami apologized to those unable to enter and promised a larger venue for future events. “We got a massive crowd that Radisson Hotel couldn’t contain everybody. Next year, I’ll get a bigger place in GRA Ikeja,” he said.

Switching to Yoruba, he added, “I apologise to the singles who were present but couldn’t come in. We won’t host the event at Radisson next year, but it’ll be in GRA on the mainland.”

The event drew humorous comments from attendees and observers online.

“So all of una single like this. Mo gbe o,” wrote Bolaji Olamummy.

“Na only girls I dey see o,” noted Iamdhemmy.

“People go knack tire…who de do matchmaking for Tinubu era,” joked Saintmarthnez.

Some attendees highlighted the gender imbalance, with many commenting on the overwhelming number of women at the event. Others poked fun at participants, suggesting some were there for reasons other than finding love.

Lege Miami has been vocal about his commitment to matchmaking, describing it as more than just a business.
