Lampard’s future ‘not my problem at all’, says Mourinho

Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho, has distanced himself from comments about underfire Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard.

The Englishman has been under immense pressure after his star-studded Chelsea squad fail to roll with the big guns as they currently sit eighth on the log.

When asked during his press conference on Friday if he believes Chelsea will stick with Lampard, Mourinho bluntly replied: “No, that’s not my problem at all.”

Recall that Lampard himself had revealed that his future at Stamford Bridge is beyond his control, coming after his team’s 2-0 defeat to Leicester City.

“It’s not my decision[his future], that’s something that will always be there. You always understand some things are beyond your control. Things you can control are going again, lifting the players and working hard. That, I can’t answer,” Lampard said in his post-match interview.

Speaking on reports linking several managers with a move to Chelsea, Lampard, according to Metro UK, insisted that he is not bothered about the reports.

“I don’t listen to it,” said Lampard. “It’s only everywhere if you want to scroll through social media, I don’t do that.

“I’m not stupid, I know what the pressure are that come with managing a top football club. I only do my job, it doesn’t matter to me.”
