Governor of Plateau, Simon Lalong, has described the death of Mrs Mildred Bisallah, a philanthropist and mother-in-law of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as a great loss to the state.
Lalong during the funeral service of Bisallah on Friday, at St. Pirans Anglican Church, Jos, said the illustrious daughter who had contributed immensely to humanity during her lifetime would be immortalised to remind people of her contributions.
Newsmen recall that the deceased, the wife of Maj.-Gen. Iliya Bisallah, died on April 11, 2020, at the age of 83.
He condoled with her family, Gbajabiamila and the people of Plateau for the loss, urging them to find solace in the legacies and impact she made while alive.

On his part, Gbajabiamila recounted the good counsel of his mother-in-law to him toward discharging his duties diligently, saying he will continue to cherish such moments.
He said she was more than a mother figure to him because of her wealth of wisdom and experience, saying the entire family will miss her love and care.
Earlier in his sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Jos Diocese, Archbishop Benjamin Kwashi described the deceased as a devout Christian who was assured of life after death.
The Bishop, who is also the brother of the deceased, said Christians should emulate Christ who is the Resurrection and the life.
He urged those in leadership positions to be responsive to the plight of the people especially the most vulnerable, as everyone would give an account of his stewardship to God while on earth.
Newsmen report that the late Bisallah was one of the founding members of Plateau Nigerian Horticultural Society, the co-founder and President of the Golden Girls Club, a social philanthropic group in Jos, and member of other philanthropic groups in Plateau who assisted indigents.
