The Lagos State Government has postponed the 2025 Public Service Examinations, which were earlier scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 13. The new date is now Friday, May 23, 2025.

The announcement was made on Monday evening by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu. He said the decision was made to protect the fairness and transparency of the exam process.

“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the Examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” Orunsolu said in a statement.

The notice was also shared on the official X (formerly Twitter) page of the Lagos State Government.

According to Orunsolu, the new timetable for specific papers will be announced soon through official government channels.

He urged all candidates to stay alert and check the Board’s website — [https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng](https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng) — for updates.

“Candidates are reminded to retain their registration details and print their examination slips before the announcement of the new dates,” he advised.

Orunsolu thanked candidates and other stakeholders for their patience and support, adding, “The Board remains committed to conducting credible, transparent, and efficient Public Service Examinations.”

The postponement was announced just a day before the original exam date, giving candidates more time to prepare and await the updated schedule.
