The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Area in Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a resounding victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Animashaun said the president’s re-election was “already guaranteed,” citing what she described as his remarkable performance in steering the country’s economy and implementing other reforms.
Speaking to journalists at the council secretariat in Ita-Marun, Epe, following the endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term at a stakeholders’ forum held on Tuesday, October 21, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, the council boss emphasized the need for public mobilization ahead of the elections.
She explained that the stakeholders’ meeting aimed to sensitize Nigerians—particularly Lagosians—on the importance of participating in the 2027 general elections and to encourage eligible citizens to register in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
Highlighting several socio-economic and security initiatives introduced in the past two years, Animashaun commended President Tinubu for reviving what she described as an “economy that was in comatose,” adding that Nigeria was now on a trajectory of growth and prosperity.
The council chair urged Nigerians, especially Lagos residents and the people of Epe, to remain steadfast in their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government. According to her, “as challenging as it may look for the common man, very soon, it will translate to improved welfare for the people.”
Animashaun also appealed to citizens to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise, stressing that “their votes are their power,” and expressing optimism that “there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
She further commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his leadership in Lagos State, noting that his administration has continued to align with President Tinubu’s developmental agenda. According to her, Lagos State has been “repositioned for good governance and sustainable development.”
