The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Area in Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a resounding victory in the 2027 presidential election.

Animashaun said the presidentโ€™s re-election was โ€œalready guaranteed,โ€ citing what she described as his remarkable performance in steering the countryโ€™s economy and implementing other reforms.

Speaking to journalists at the council secretariat in Ita-Marun, Epe, following the endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term at a stakeholdersโ€™ forum held on Tuesday, October 21, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, the council boss emphasized the need for public mobilization ahead of the elections.

She explained that the stakeholdersโ€™ meeting aimed to sensitize Nigeriansโ€”particularly Lagosiansโ€”on the importance of participating in the 2027 general elections and to encourage eligible citizens to register in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Highlighting several socio-economic and security initiatives introduced in the past two years, Animashaun commended President Tinubu for reviving what she described as an โ€œeconomy that was in comatose,โ€ adding that Nigeria was now on a trajectory of growth and prosperity.

The council chair urged Nigerians, especially Lagos residents and the people of Epe, to remain steadfast in their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government. According to her, โ€œas challenging as it may look for the common man, very soon, it will translate to improved welfare for the people.โ€

Animashaun also appealed to citizens to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise, stressing that โ€œtheir votes are their power,โ€ and expressing optimism that โ€œthere is light at the end of the tunnel.โ€

She further commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his leadership in Lagos State, noting that his administration has continued to align with President Tinubuโ€™s developmental agenda. According to her, Lagos State has been โ€œrepositioned for good governance and sustainable development.โ€
