The Lagos State Government has said it is targeting over N4 trillion in local and foreign investment inflows as it prepares to host the third edition of its flagship economic summit, Invest in Lagos 3.0.
According to Vanguard, the investment forum will hold from Monday, June 8 to Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
The summit is expected to attract investors, policymakers, and business leaders from across the 56 Commonwealth nations, with discussions focused on unlocking investment opportunities capable of driving economic growth and infrastructure expansion in Lagos.
Speaking during a press conference ahead of the event, the Co Chair of the Local Organising Committee for Invest in Lagos Summit 3.0, Folashade Bada Ambrose Medebem, said the state government was optimistic that the summit would attract massive capital inflows into critical sectors of the economy.
She explained that the event was designed to position Lagos as Africa’s leading destination for business, innovation, and global investment partnerships.
“The outcomes from Invest in Lagos Summit 3.0 will build on and surpass the achievements of the previous editions with greater depth, stronger global engagement, and clearer implementation pathways,” she said.
Ambrose Medebem, who also serves as the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, noted that this year’s summit would feature investment opportunities across infrastructure, industrialisation, agriculture, logistics, digital economy, financial services, energy transition, real estate, and SME development.
According to her, Lagos remains strategically positioned at the centre of Africa’s economic transformation and continues to attract interest from both local and international investors.
“Lagos sits at the centre of the African economic story,” she stated.
Also speaking at the briefing, the Co Chair of the Local Organising Committee and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Sam Egube, disclosed that over 29 global speakers from different countries and industries had already confirmed participation in the summit.
The state government said the forum forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen investor confidence, deepen international partnerships, and attract the N4 trillion investment target expected to boost economic activities and create jobs across Lagos.
