Lagos APC congratulates Sanwo-Olu on tribunal victory
The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State extends hearty congratulations to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, following their triumph at the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Monday.
In a statement issued by the ruling party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Seye Oladejo, the court’s reaffirmation of Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat’s victory underscores the authenticity of their mandates.
Oladejo also commended the diligent efforts of Lagos residents, particularly APC members, who contributed significantly during the election process.
He remarked, “The tribunal’s decision serves as a testament to the resounding choice made by the majority of voters in favor of progressive, responsive, and responsible governance over uncertain experiments.”
Furthermore, Oladejo emphasized the party’s unwavering confidence that the opposition’s petitions were merely academic exercises by sore losers, a belief reaffirmed by the tribunal’s verdict.
The Lagos APC, in its commitment to delivering democracy’s dividends, extends an olive branch to all, including opponents, to collaborate in moving the state forward.
Recall that Wuzup Nigeria reported that the Lagos State Election Petition Tribunal, unanimously declared Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election, cementing his and Hamzat’s position as the victors.
The tribunal also dismissed the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran, as well as Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party Governorship Candidate for Lagos State.
