Lady, boyfriend arrested for peddling illicit substances on Instagram

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Sunday paraded a 28-year-old online drug trafficker, Ese Patrick and her boyfriend in the Federal Capital Territory.

Ese was apprehended for using her official Instagram account, OvenSecret, to market illicit substances.

This was contained in a statement made available to WuzupNigeria by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.

Babafemi reported that the suspect was tracked and arrested with her boyfriend while making delivery of some pieces of brownies ordered online.

He disclosed that the suspects were paraded along with eight other online substance vendors arrested with assorted drugs, including 107kg of cocaine during a raid.

“The first suspect, Ese Patrick, who sells her illicit substances through Instagram account; Ese’s OvenSecret, was tracked and arrested with some pieces of brownies ordered online by NDLEA’s undercover agents, on 21st May, 2021 and delivered by herself and her boyfriend in a Mercedes Benz car,” the statement read.

A follow up operation at her residence led to the seizure of 400 grams of Arizona weed, which she uses in baking the brownies.

The statement revealed that one Iyama Patrick was also arrested with 450 grams of Arizona weed.

Iyama was the culprit that supplied Ese with the cannabis she uses.
