A former governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, has expressed displeasure at the incidence of ballot box snatching in some parts of the state during Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Ladoja, who spoke with newsmen after casting his vote at 11.10 a.m. at his Ward 10 Unit 13 A and B Polling Unit in Ibadan North Local Government Area, said there were reported incidents of ballot snatching at Ojaigbo, Agbeni and Iwo road.
The former governor, who is a chieftain of Zenith Labour Party backing the governorship candidate of the PDP in Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, called on security agencies to urgently address the situation
He, however, commended INEC for the early arrival of election materials, saying it was an improvement over the Feb. 23 presidential and National Assembly elections.
