A company Bere-mont Group has offered a full university scholarship to Idris Abdulrasheed Adeiza, a student from Kogi State, who scored an impressive 323 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination despite attending school in an uncompleted building.
Idris became widely known after Alex Onyia, the CEO of Educare, highlighted his remarkable achievement and the poor condition of his school on social media.
Alex tweeted about Idris’ high score in the 2024 UTME, a year when many students struggled and experienced mass failures.
In his tweet, Alex shared the good news that Bere-mont Group, owners of Bereton Montessori School and Charles Dale Memorial International School in Port-Harcourt, had stepped in to support Idris.
“Good News: Bere-mont Group, owners of Bereton Montessori School and Charles Dale Memorial International School Port-Harcourt, are now offering Idris Abdulrasheed Adeiza a full scholarship for his entire duration in the university. In addition, they will donate books to his school to support other students. I love this. More private schools should follow this example!” Alex wrote.
