Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp voices concern as Liverpool grapples with a potential triple injury setback following Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Brentford, just ahead of a pivotal series of matches.

During the game, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez were all substituted due to injuries, raising doubts about their availability for the forthcoming Carabao Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley next Sunday and the imminent league encounter against Luton on Wednesday.

Klopp expressed his apprehensions, stating, “We have to see how much it costs us. We don’t know yet.” The manager, who recently lost Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Alisson to injuries, elaborated on the situation: “Diogo Jota looks the worst. I didn’t see it back but I heard the pictures [of the incident] didn’t look great. We have to see there.”

Regarding Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez, Klopp remarked, “Curtis Jones got a knock above his ankle…Diogo Jota looks the worst…Darwin Nunez we took off because he said he felt something very little.”

Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Klopp emphasized the need for a focused approach, asserting, “You can count the games coming up so it would be helpful if we had more than one per position. We have problems we don’t know how big they are. As long as we have 11 players we will go for it.”

Despite the impending cup final, Klopp maintained that the team must prioritize the immediate task at hand, stating, “We cannot think about the final, we have to think about Luton…Luton deserve all of our focus and attention then we will look to final. After that, we will see how we can play the next game.”
