Afrobeats star, Kizz Daniel, has released a new extended play titled “Lemon Chase,” a deeply introspective seven-track project that marks a personal and artistic evolution for the singer.

The EP serves as both a prelude to his upcoming album “Uncle K” and a raw reflection of real-life experiences.

The project follows a period of personal loss for Kizz Daniel, who recently mourned the death of his mother-in-law.

Speaking on the inspiration behind “Lemon Chase,” the singer shared:

“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life—sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful.”

Describing the EP as “music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering,” Kizz Daniel emphasized his desire to create something authentic and emotionally resonant. The project features a mix of celebratory anthems and reflective moments, offering a sonic journey through a range of emotions.

The opening track, “Black Girl Magic,” is a vibrant tribute to beauty and resilience, while the EP concludes with “Police”—a powerful collaboration featuring the soulful Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy Award-winning legend Angelique Kidjo.

“Lemon Chase” also includes appearances from rising and established stars such as Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Zlatan, and Fola—who previously teamed up with Kizz Daniel on the hit single “Lost.” Each artist brings a unique energy, adding layers of depth to the EP’s narrative.

On the production front, Kizz Daniel enlists some of Afrobeats’ most sought-after talents. Reward Beatz leads the charge on standout tracks like “Eyo” and “Black Girl Magic,” while Blaise Beatz and Magic Sticks add their touch to fan favorites including “Secure,” “Peace I Chose,” and “Titi.” Additional contributions come from Bando and Ayzed, who help shape a polished and emotionally rich soundscape.

“Lemon Chase” is not just a musical release—it’s a candid expression of love, loss, resilience, and healing, affirming Kizz Daniel’s place as one of Afrobeats’ most versatile and soulful voices.
