Fans, family and music enthusiasts are celebrating the 60th posthumous birthday, of music icon, Michael Jackson who died on June 25 2009.

Dubbed the “King of Pop”, Jackson died from Cardiac arrest induced by acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.

Jackson’s contributions to music, dance, and fashion along with his publicized personal life made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.

To celebrate Michael Jackson‘s 60th posthumous birthday, his sister, Janet Jackson, will be dropping a remake of the Pop King’s 1992 video for “Remember the Time.”

According to TMZ, Janet teams up with popular comedian Kwaylon Rogers for the 1-minute, 11-second clip.

Not to be left out, fans of the record-breaking music icon took to their social media handles to share videos of his music and some beautiful photos of him.

Many also remembered him for his famous “moonwalk” and showered encomium on him saying he was the greatest music artiste, performer, singer, entertainer, dancer among many other talents.

According to Wikipedia, 12 months after his death, Jackson sold more than 8.2 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide, making him the best-selling albums artist of 2009.

He became the first artist to sell one million downloads in a week in music download history, with a record-breaking 2.6 million downloads of his songs. Three of his albums, Thriller, Number Ones and The Essential Michael Jackson, sold more than any new album, the first time a catalog album has ever scanned more sales than any new album.

Jackson also became the first artist in history to have four of the top 20 best-selling albums in a single year in the United States.[336] Following this surge in sales, Sony extended its distribution rights for Jackson’s material, which had been due to expire in 2015.
