Watford secured a dramatic 5-2 comeback victory over Everton at Goodison Park to hand coach Claudio Ranieri his first win in his return to the Premier League.

Ranieri who led Leicester City to the EPL crown in the 2015–16 season suffered a heavy thumping against Liverpool in his first game in charge of The Hornets.

Tom Davies gave Rafa Benitez’s side an early lead but Joshua King pulled one back 10 minutes after to ease the fears of the visitors.

Brazilian star, Richarlison, marked his return from injury with a goal to restore The Tofees’ lead after coming off the bench to score a diving header in the 63rd minute but it only lasted for 15 minutes.

Juraj Kucka levelled matters in the 78th minute to begin the goal-fest while Everton could only watch in shock as Watford score four goals in the space of 15 minutes.

King who failed to shine during his loan spell with The Toffees last season completed his hattrick with a brace in the space of six minutes (80′, 86′) to leave the hosts helpless.

Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis who netted The Hornets first goal of the season, in the 3-2 win over Aston Villa, wrapped up the 5-2 victory with a stoppage-time goal (90+1′).

Everton have now suffered their first-ever home defeat against Watford in any competition, having been unbeaten in 15 home matches against the Hornets prior to today.
