Reality TV star and businesswoman, Kim Kardashian, broke down in tears after discovering she failed the California Bar Exam, a moment that has now aired on her family’s reality show, The Kardashians.

The emotional scene shows Kim seated with her mother, Kris Jenner, her sister, Khloe Kardashian, and her son, Saint, as they waited anxiously for the exam results to be released at 5pm. When the results finally appeared, Kim confirmed her fears.

“I didn’t make it. It’s okay, I figured that,” she said, trying to stay calm before breaking down in tears.

When Khloe asked why she already expected the outcome, Kim explained that she sensed something was wrong while writing the exam. She admitted that her essays did not feel strong enough.

“My essays didn’t feel good, and I knew that could cost me,” she said.

Reacting to her disappointment, Kris Jenner sympathised with her daughter, saying, “It sucks because you worked so hard.”

Khloe, however, suggested that Kim’s busy lifestyle may have affected her performance. During a call with Kim’s law mentor, Khloe blamed the pressure of balancing her studies with filming their reality show.

“You were memorising law books and TV scripts at the same time,” Khloe said, hinting that the show may have been a distraction.

At her lowest moment, Kim described herself harshly, saying she felt like “a big f***ing loser this week.”

Kim had earlier confirmed her failed attempt in a social media post on November 17, where she shared parts of her study journey. She revealed that she found out on November 7 that she did not pass the exam.

“I’ve shared so much of this journey with you,” she wrote. “I didn’t pass the bar. It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end.”

She added that giving up was not an option. “This dream means too much to me to walk away from. I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there.”

Speaking in an interview with The New York Times, Kim said she had already prepared herself mentally for the outcome.

“This really sucks because I put so much time into it, but I also know what I can do better,” she said.

Kim added that failure only motivates her. “You can feel sorry for yourself for a second, but I need to put that energy into studying more.”

She described the setback as fuel, not failure. “I was so close to passing the exam, and that only motivates me even more.”

Kim Kardashian has been studying law for six years as part of her journey to become a qualified lawyer in the United States.
