Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been offered a three-year contract worth €17 million to join Italian club Napoli following his exit from Manchester City.
The 33-year-old will leave the English side this summer as a free agent after Manchester City decided not to renew his contract. De Bruyne, who joined City from VfL Wolfsburg in 2015, has already said goodbye to the club and fans.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Napoli has given De Bruyne a three-year deal. He reported that the deal includes a net salary of €6 million per year for the first two years and €5 million for the third year, along with a signing bonus.
Romano also noted that De Bruyne has agreed in principle to join the Serie A champions and has given his approval to move to Italy.
However, De Bruyne has not made a final decision yet, as he is also considering an offer from American club Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer (MLS).
De Bruyne, known for his vision and passing, played a key role in Manchester City’s many successes under coach Pep Guardiola. His move to Napoli would mark the first time he plays in Italy after spending years in Belgium, Germany, and England.
