Popular blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, who was arrested by the police and kept in Port Harcourt prison for the past 81 days has been released.
She regained her freedom on Monday, multiple sources report.
The 52-year old took to her Twitter handle on Tuesday, March 14 to announce that she has been arrested by the police.
She had revealed that officers stormed her home and whisked her away to the Oyo state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office in Ibadan, but added that the offence she was said to have committed was not criminal.
Olunloyo was subsequently driven to Port Hacourt where she said she was charged with cybercrime for her post about Pastor David Ibiyeomie. She had confirmed that she had posted a letter from one of Ibiyeomie’s church members, levelling allegations against the pastor.
Her first bail hearing was scheduled for March 23, but it could not hold due to the absence of the magistrate.
After the Magistrates court eventually granted her bail, a Federal High Court in Rivers State denied her bail again and remanded her in prison on March 30.
