Controversial blogger and self-acclaimed international journalist Kemi Olunloyo has apologised for the negative comments she made about Henrietta Kosoko shortly after her death.
The self-styled activist and daughter of a former Oyo State governor apologised to Henrietta’s son, Taiwo Olowu, on Wednesday via her Instagram page.
Following the death of Henrietta in June, Olunloyo had accused the late actress’ husband Jide Kosoko, of killing his wife for ritual purpose.
Her accusations led to a barrage of comments from members of the public including one Morenike Kosoko, who labelled Olunloyo as a prostitute.
In response, Olunloyo had said she hoped the late Henrietta would end up in hell.
Olunloyo said her statements about Henrietta going to hell stemmed from her anger at Morenike.
She said, “I sincerely apologise to Taiwo the son of Henrietta Kosoko and Jide Kosoko. My reaction from Morenike Kosoko angered me. Calling me the wizard of prostitutes Olosho Asewo is uncalled for.
“I had my two children out of wedlock because of domestic violence at 27yo and late Henrietta also had the twins for another man she left too.
“I have learned not to engage Nigerians on social media who say such. I had a right to be angry at the time but anger is not the answer. May Henrietta rest in peace and not hell and to Jide Kosoko stay strong.”
Earlier this month, Olunloyo had announced and then retracted plans to quit social media.
Her father, Omololu Olunloyo, a former Governor of Oyo State had also denied reports that he had disowned her over her controversial statements on social media.
