Kehinde Bankole narrates experience filming ‘Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti’ with Nollywood veterans in Egba land

Nollywood actress and television host, Kehinde Bankole, has narrated the surreal experience of filming Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti in Egba land, alongside other veterans in the movie industry.

The Late Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti was an educator, political campaigner, women’s rights activist and mother of the legendary Afrobeat legend, Fela.

Sharing a video on Tuesday in an Instagram post, Kehinde Bankole also acknowleged veterans like Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Adebayo Salami, including Keppy Ekpenyong and Bukky Ogunote.

“I had the most surreal time filming Funmilayo Ransome Kuti in Egba.

“From filming with an extremely intelligent director Bolanle Austen Peters, to the crew, to filming with Peter Thomas the Deputy Head of Mission at the British High Commission Lagos (Farewell Peter 🎊) to the highlight of filming with the most revered genius veterans and elders Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Adebayo Salami, including Keppy Ekpenyong, Bukky Ogunote, the great Giants, to filming with my super talented colleagues, the most beautiful selection of Nollywood’s finest African talents, to having the actual Kuti family on FRK, to the many insightful conversations about frk and other things with my very dear woman Bap, to being in Abeokuta as Funmilayo MON, to my time out with the pet goats and tortoises 🙈😂 yes pet 🐐 at the British commission house and eating Lafun the white amala and ewedu elegusi in Abeokuta.
