A youth corps member, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, who was deployed to Kebbi State, has tragically slumped and died at the Dakin Gari NYSC orientation camp.
The incident occurred suddenly, and she was immediately rushed to the camp clinic for medical attention. She was later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi for further treatment. However, despite all efforts by doctors to resuscitate her, she passed away.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Kebbi State, Alhaji Muhammad Fingila, confirmed the incident and stated that her remains have been sent back to her home state of Adamawa.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Nurudeen Bala Fingiller, it was confirmed that the body had already been sent to her family in Adamawa.
Fingila expressed his condolences, saying, “I want to use this medium to send a condolence message to His Excellency and all our teeming youths, on behalf of NYSC and the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, on this irreparable loss.”
He also thanked the Kebbi State Governor for his financial support in facilitating the burial arrangements.
Describing the incident as unfortunate, Fingila sent his condolences to the grieving family on behalf of the Kebbi State government.
