Pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appear to have confirmed their relationship after being seen together in Paris on Saturday night.
The pair stepped out to celebrate Katy’s birthday with a night out at the famous Crazy Horse cabaret, a popular venue for visiting celebrities. According to TMZ, it was their first public outing as a couple.
A video shared by the outlet showed Perry and Trudeau walking hand in hand as they left the theater. A fan handed the singer a rose and wished her a happy birthday before the two got into a waiting car surrounded by photographers.
Their Paris outing has drawn wide attention online, as clips of their affectionate moments quickly went viral. One post on X read, “Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have officially confirmed they’re in a romantic relationship. The two were seen together in Paris, France, celebrating Katy’s birthday in public for the first time.”
Neither Perry nor Trudeau has made a public comment about their relationship.
The rumors of a romance began in July when they were spotted having dinner together in Montreal. Around the same time, Trudeau was seen attending Perry’s Lifetimes Tour concert at the Bell Centre. The two were later photographed on Katy’s yacht, fueling more speculation.
Perry’s new relationship comes after her split from actor Orlando Bloom earlier this year. The two, who met in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019, share a daughter named Daisy Dove.
Trudeau separated from his wife, former TV host Sophie Grégoire, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They continue to co-parent their three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
