Katsina United appoints Bala Abubakar as head coach
Bala Abubakar has officially been appointed as the head coach of Katsina United, a Nigeria Premier Football League team.
The Chanji Boys have secured Abubakar’s services with a one-year contract, marking the beginning of his tenure with the club.
The former Niger Tornadoes coach steps into the position following the dismissal of Tony Bolus by the club’s management on Monday. Katsina United, currently positioned in 15th place with 14 points, has experienced a challenging season, managing three wins in 12 league matches.
Abubakar’s managerial debut for Katsina United is set for Sunday, where the team will face Bendel Insurance in a highly anticipated game.
The appointment brings expectations of a positive impact under Abubakar’s leadership as the football club strives for improved performance in the league.
