Katsina Government orders total lockdown in Malumfashi LGA
Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa who revealed that the lockdown will take off from 7:00 am on Thursday, May 7, 2020, said the decision was taken after some residents of the area tested positive for Coronavirus.
Inuwa said:
“The lockdown was ordered in line with the decision by the state government and other stakeholders to shutdown any local government where positive cases were confirmed in the state.
“Governor Aminu Masari had directed the COVID-19 committee to identify pharmaceutical, grains, and essential commodities stores that would be allowed to offer skeletal services to the needy.”
Residents of Malumfashi Local Government Area have been asked to observe restriction of movement as security operatives will be dealing with violators of the order.
