Veteran Nigerian actress, Kate Henshaw, has celebrated a remarkable milestone in her career, marking 32 years in the Nollywood film industry.
The screen icon took to social media to reflect on her journey, expressing deep gratitude for her longevity and the grace that has accompanied her path.
Henshaw, a mother of one, looked back on her debut role in the 1993 film When the Sun Sets, which also featured Nollywood actor Bob Manuel Udokwu.
She revealed that she still keeps the VHS cassette of the movie, describing her journey in the industry as one filled with “grace, grit, hard work, and the full blessings of God.”
In her heartfelt message, she acknowledged the late J T TomWest, the friend who first introduced her to acting by inviting her to her debut audition. “Thank you J T TomWest, for inviting me to that very first audition. RIP bro. You remain a huge part of my journey,” she wrote.
The actress emphasized the importance of recognizing those who contribute to one’s success, saying, “Never stop acknowledging those who played a part in helping you achieve your success. It will not diminish you. Look back, see how far you have come and stay grateful to God..always.”
Henshaw shared side-by-side photos of herself from her first movie and a recent project titled Ruthless (2024), symbolizing her enduring presence and relevance in the Nigerian film industry.
