American rapper, Kanye West has now hired a fourth divorce attorney after he sacked his lawyer, Chris Melcher, ahead of Wednesday’s court hearing against estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
TMZ reports that after their relationship ‘became extremely difficult, with little communication’, Kanye fired Melcher.
The 44-year-old rapper will now be represented by attorney Samantha Spector, who recently represented Nicole Young in her divorce from producer Dr. Dre.
Sources told the outlet that West kept changing his mind on whether he wanted to settle things amicably with Kim Kardashian or put up a fight – much like he did when he objected to her initial divorce demands.
A hearing for West and Kardashian’s ongoing divorce battle has been scheduled for Wednesday, where a judge is expected to make a decision on the reality star’s request to be declared legally single.
TMZ reports that while Kardashian is expected to call in or video chat for the hearing, it’s “highly unlikely” her rapper ex would show up in person.
41-year-old Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021.
They are blessed with four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
