Kano gov fires eight revenue directors

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has given immediate approval for the termination of employment for eight directors of the Kano State Internal Revenue Service. 

This was conveyed in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Board, Sani Abdulkadir Dambo.

The circular instructed the dismissed directors to promptly transfer all duties and responsibilities to their respective deputies. T

The affected individuals and their positions are outlined in the statement: Muhammad Kabir Umar, Director Assessment; Kabiru Magaji, Director Human Resource; Ibrahim Sammani, Director Government Business; Aminu Umar Kawu, Director Road and Other Taxes; Muhd Auwal Abdullahi, Director Tax Audit, Investigation & Debt Management; Abubakar Garba Yusuf, Director of ICT; Hamisu Ado Magaji, Director of PAYE; and Bashir Yusuf Madobi, Director of Legal & Enforcement.

The action is characterized as part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to cleanse and improve public services. 

The circular explicitly conveyed the directive: “I am directed to inform you that the mentioned directors have been relieved of their responsibilities and are to hand over to their deputies immediately.”
