On November 12, 2024, four members of a kidnapping syndicate operating in Rahama and Dutsen Wai villages were arrested. The suspects—Yahaya Abdullahi, Shamsu Ibrahim, Linus Obasi, and Hauwa Mohammed—had kidnapped a female victim from Rahama village, holding her captive for four days until a ransom of ₦3 million was paid.

Similarly, on November 6, 2024, two other kidnappers, Surajo Hassan and Abdulhadir Usman, were apprehended in Ikara Local Government Area.

They confessed to multiple crimes, including holding a victim captive for 60 days before securing an ₦8 million ransom.

On November 13, 2024, officers arrested 27-year-old Audu Abdullahi in Kujama. Abdullahi, a member of a cattle rustling syndicate, admitted to participating in several raids involving AK-47 rifles and other weapons. A locally made firearm and charms used by the group were recovered during the operation.

Acting on a distress call from the Kaduna State Vigilance Service, police responded to reports of suspicious activities at the Kaduna State Trade Fair Complex. Three suspects—Salisu Mohammed, Mohammed Abubakar, and Aliyu Isah—were caught vandalizing armoured cable wires.

Upon further investigation, two accomplices, Abubakar Garba and Isiaku Abdullahi, who served as receivers of the stolen materials, were also arrested in Malalin Gabas and Rigasa.

The arrested suspects are in police custody and will be charged in court after investigations are completed.

The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Abdullahi, lauded the efforts of the officers involved in the operations.

He assured the public of the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives, protecting public infrastructure, and maintaining peace and security across the state.

The police called on residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly to aid their ongoing efforts to combat crime in Kaduna State.
