Yvonne Okeke, Personal Assistant to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, has intervened to settle the outstanding medical bills of underprivileged patients undergoing treatment at Maitama District Hospital in Abuja.
The intervention covered vulnerable children, women, men and families experiencing financial difficulties and unable to afford the cost of essential medical treatment.
With the payment of the accumulated bills, Okeke helped reduce the financial burden on the affected families and enabled the beneficiaries to continue receiving the medical care they need.
For several of the families, the assistance came at a challenging time, as rising hospital expenses had compounded the difficulties associated with illness and uncertainty.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, describing it as timely assistance that provided relief when they were struggling to raise the funds required for their treatment.
The gesture is part of Okeke’s humanitarian efforts focused on assisting vulnerable members of society and providing practical support to families confronted with difficult circumstances.
Beyond Abuja, Okeke is also planning to extend the initiative to other parts of the country, including Kaduna, Anambra and Lagos states.
The proposed expansion is expected to make similar assistance available to more vulnerable individuals and families who may face difficulties meeting the cost of essential healthcare.
Through the initiative, Okeke aims to provide direct assistance to people in need while drawing attention to the financial challenges confronting families burdened by medical expenses.
