Juventus rejects Man Utd official bid for Pogba

Serie A champions, Juventus have rejected Manchester United initial bid for their midfielder, Paul Pogba, this is accoriding to multiple reports in the UK and Italy.

It was gathered that United CEO Ed Woodward tabled an offer of £100 million in a meeting with Juve director Beppe Marotta. That offer, it was gathered, included an £87 million fee and an additional £13 million in performance-related add-ons.

Marotta and the Old Lady, however, rejected that offer and are holding out for a fee of £100 million plus £8 million in add-ons, the Guardian later reported.

That would make Pogba the most expensive purchase in the history of the game.

Meanwhile, reports in Italy say Pogba has told Juve he wants to return to Old Trafford.

In another transfer news, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says Gonzalo Higuain will not join Juventus.

The Argentine striker has been rumoured to preferred the Turin club over Arsenal.
