Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Hassan Mohammed Gusau, on Tuesday, announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party at the plenary.
Gusau’s letter of resignation was read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
He said his resignation was born out of the fact that there was factionalisation in the Zamfara State PDP but failed to mention the party he had defected to.
He said his new party would be announced in due course.
The Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, had also defected from the PDP to the APC.
