A Kaduna State High Court has freed the embattled leader of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife.
The Islamic couple, who had earlier been charged for culpable homicide, regained their freedom in Kaduna on Wednesday.
Recall that the Sheikh was arrested along with his wife and detained by the administration of the President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd) in 2015.
Channels Television reported that in a ruling that lasted over eight hours, the presiding judge, Justice Gideon Kurada upheld the no-case submission filed by Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife.
