Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has survived COVID-19 scare after his test result came back negative on Monday.
The Derby Country player-coach took to his official Twitter account to announce the news to his fans after speculations that he might have been infected.
This comes after a friend of his, name unknown, was said to have visited his who later tested positive for the virus visited the former England star’s home, regardless of being advised to get tested.

The star will have to self-isolate and is expected to miss a few games for Derby due to government rules.
WuzupNigeria reported earlier that Rooney who played in Derby’s 1-0 home defeat by Watford on Friday, a day after the friend visited him at his home was left “angry and disappointed” after discovering the status of his friend.
“Wayne is angry and disappointed that he, his family and his club have been put in this position by someone acting secretly and in breach of government and NHS guidelines,” Rooney’s management said in a statement to British media earlier.
