Unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits in the early hours of Monday killed four persons and kidnapped over 50 villagers from Gora Namaye community of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
An eyewitness who identified himself as Suleiman Gora disclosed that the assailants stormed the community in several vehicles, shooting sporadically.
Gora, who stated that bandits moved from house to house, killing some victims and abducting others, further revealed that there was security intervention until they were done with their nefarious activities.

When contacted, the state police command’s spokesman, SP Mohammed Shehu confirmed the incident, saying that the bandits killed only four people and kidnapped 50 persons.
SP Shehu, however, said that armed security operatives have been deployed to the axis to rescue the kidnapped victims and search for the bandits for possible arrest.
