One killed as robbers attack banks in Osun
A yet-to-be-identified individual has been shot dead on Thursday by some armed robbers who attacked two commercial banks in Iree, Osun State.
The PUNCH quoted a student of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, simply identified as Olaide, as saying that the robbers arrived at the banks some minutes to 4pm and operated for about 15 minutes before they fled.
According to Olaide, the robbers escaped through Ada/Iree road shooting into the air as they fled the area, adding that “one person was shot. He is a man and he died instantly.”
Confirming the attack, The State Police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, said, “Our tactical teams had been deployed in the area.”
