Gunmen on Sunday abducted Uche Nwosu, a former APC governorship candidate in Imo State and the son-in-law of former Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Nwosu was kidnapped by gunmen at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama-Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Nation reported that the victim was in the church for the outing service of his late mother who was buried during the week.
Eyewitnesses said that the incident, which occured on Sunday morning, saw the assailants bundle the ex-APC governorship aspirant in their car boot and drove away amidst heavy gunfire.
